Diagnostic Services
Learning Disabilities: Dyslexia, Reading Disability, Dysgraphia, Disorder of Written Expression, or Dyscalculia/Math Disorder (1st- 12th grade)
Areas tested include intellectual functioning, decoding, phonemic awareness, letter recognition, spelling, handwriting, written expression, writing fluency, reading comprehension, reading rate, reading accuracy, reading fluency, listening comprehension, oral expression, basic math calculations, applied math reasoning, and math fluency.
ADHD (5 -18 year olds)
Symptoms include inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, difficulties following verbal directions, short-term/working memory delays, weak processing speed, cognitive distraction and difficulties initiating/organizing/completing tasks (executive functioning delays).
Re-evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder (High Functioning)
This re-evaluation is appropriate for students ages 10 through 18 years who have already received the initial diagnosis of Autism, but are needing an updated evaluation to continue receiving academic services. The assessment considers four areas: social interaction and communication, restricted patterns of behavior, cognitive patterns, and pragmatic skills.
Psychological Screening
This includes a structured interview with the parent and student to screen for anxiety, depression, oppositional behavior, and other mood disorders.
