It is our goal at Pediatricians of Dallas, P.A. to provide the highest level of medical care regardless of insurance companies’ reimbursement policies. We believe that parents have a responsibility to comply with their physicians recommend medical protocols. If you’re wondering which health insurance policy is right, check out our blog post with some helpful guidelines.
Newborns and insurance
Many new parents are unsure how insurance works for their newborn. Most insurance plans will cover the baby automatically for the first 30 days under mom’s policy. When parents are not on the same policy, we follow the birthday rule (parent by month first in the year) of who would be primary for the 1st 30 days. Contact your insurance company and your HR department about what’s required to add the baby to your policy.
Which insurance plans do you take?
We accept most major commercial insurance plans and many smaller plans. It is always best to contact your insurance provider to determine if our physicians are in their network. With the continuous changes to health care and Healthcare Reform, it is increasingly difficult for our office to keep up with the many new plans and Reform Plan names/Networks.
Insurance
We bill claims with insurance companies that we are in network with. Deductibles and co-payments are due at the time of service.
Please respond promptly to any claim inquiries received from your insurance company. A prompt response will eliminate patient responsibility and claim payment delay. For questions, call us at 214-691-3535 X602, ask for the billing department, or send an email to billing@pod.pcc.com.
